A/V Output issue-ideas?
 

I tried to play some video out of the EX1 using the A/V cable. I get sound but no picture. I went into the menu and turned the SDI stuff to the off position according to the book. Still no picture. I had the camera in to Sony a few months back for the update and had to return it due to the sound controls not working. Apparently the technician working on the camera did not fit the back onto the camera properly changing out the cover due to the stenciling rubbing off. I am wondering if something else may have been disconnected during the repair. I guess it could be the cable, but I have hardly used it. Prior to sending the camera off to Sony the first time, the A/V worked fine. Has anyone else had this experience? Am I missing a setting somewhere?

Hi Phil, I had a similar issue with SDI a short while ago (after a firmware update). In that case the solution was to turn off the ilink output. With Ilink disabled the SDI returned, perhaps that is the case in your situation too

That did it. As soon as I saw iLink in your post the lights went on. It did the trick.
