HQ or SQ żLess processor intensive?

Hi there. Next week I will be working for the first time with my EX1 on a high pressure enviroment. I will need to deliver 4 two minute videos a day on H264 at Standard Definition, so it doesn't matter the original definition. So what I'm wondering is which is the best way to do it with the EX1.

I will be editing on a MacBook Pro w/ 2Ghz Intel Core Duo and 2 GB RAM.

What I'm wondering is which format is less processor intensive, is it VBR 35mbps 1080P, 720P or 25mbps 1080i ?

Since I have to deliver 480 then it's ok to shoot any format

Hope you guys can help

25mbps is going to be less processor intensive regardless of 1080 or 720. Most suggest shooting in 720 if you are purposing for NTSC/DV. I agree with this approach. Unless the footage is valuable and can be sold for millions of dollars down the road.

If it is only 2 minutes in length I wouldn't be worrying about render time. Even if you are rendering several hours of 1080/35mbps it is still doable on your machine.

Hardrive space may be your biggest concern.

720P is less processor intensive and I use 720P50 (720P60) if I need to produce an interlace SD output. For progressive output such as web movies I shoot 720P25.
