You can get the material from Michales, Walmart, etc as well. I think I paid $30 for my 9 x 12 muslin green screen. And Keylight works really well with minimal work. You can do a bit better with some techniques found in AE CS4 Visual Effects and Compositing book.

It's fun for sure. The shot you have there with the guy with machine gun.. did you color correct it? It looks like he and the background are lit the same.. so good job if you did and how did you do it.. if not, well, good job getting lucky. :D

yeah he was graded, curves mostly, some desaturation, and some lighting in ae to give the same tiny little vignette / cast on him and the background

and I'm not sure if were allowed to link to ebay or not but here it goes.........

Thanks Jon,

The product looks great but the shipping into Australia is going to far at $127 plus the product on top.

I'll try and find one here in Australia.

Cheers

If you have a blank wall then you can simply paint it green. Most good hardware stores should be able to mix up a pot of bright green. You can of course use any colour as a Key, but Green and Blue are the industry standard.

The key to good Keying is with the software that your using. Keylight in After Effects is excellent. I also use the Matrox RTX2 which has hardware keying, it is very quick (instant) and very accurate.
