That's great, very interesting too!
What did you use for the light source Doug?
I would guess a flashlight. Since you used 16 frame SS it couldn't have been too bright.

The light source is simply the lamp post in my front yard, located about 10 feet behind the web. I tried turning off that light and putting up a KinoFlo, but I coudn' get it looking as good as what I already had before I messed with it. So I went back to the post light. If I had it to do again, and a little more time to prepare, I'd try using a Fresnel. I've noticed on other shoots that Fresnels create a very intersted pattern on back-lit tree limbs (especially when wet), and I'll bet it would work great on a spider web, too.

I just wish it was a less cluttered shot, but the damn spider won't listen to me when I give him directions.
