Picture Profile Help for a new EX1 Owner

I know about the sticky thread but I can't seem to find settings for what I need AND want. But, my head is spinning with all these available settings for PP's.

I have an outdoor event to shoot this Tuesday which will start under evening daylight and continue after sundown(its a very large event so it should be well lit). The destination will be web and broadcast so I would prefer to keep it within broadcast limits. I also would like to maximize dynamic range and keep highlights within range (I read that Cine Gamma helps "compress" highlights) under sunlight.

For the evening, I would like to keep the noise down and still use Cine Gamma, while keeping blacks safe.

I know of Premiere Pro's Broadcast Effect/Filter but I have not used it so I don't know whether CineGamma 1, 3 or 4 would be better and then apply the Broadcast filter or just use CineGamma 2 and not worry(as much).

COLOR: For now, I prefer a more natural look that I can grade if needed.

I have seen many PP's but most people don't state the benefits. I just got my EX1 2 days ago so I haven't had much time to play around with it. Also, I won't be getting my Doug Jensen DVD til Monday afternoon/evening so I am struggling to find user guides online.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

Personally I have found it very useful to just connect the EX1 to my 46" Sony Bravia and observe the changes as I play with the settings. After awhile you start to get the idea of what each parameter does. I also sometimes bring along a 15" color monitor to play with settings in the field, but it can be hard to observe some of the subtle effects in bright daylight on a screen with less than 1920x1080 resolution.

Don't know if you have seen these Steve:

YouTube - XDCAM EX Gamma Curves and Knee, what they do and which ones to use.

YouTube - XDCAM EX Color Matrix Setup and How To instructional video

Alister
These are excellent presentations of material that has been rather obscure to me for more than a year.
Very coherent for non techies like myself.
Thank you for taking the time to do this. I certainly would be grateful to see more of these sort of tutorials.
Brilliant!
