Using mtf's B4 to EX3 adaptor
Have anyone used mtf's B4 to Ex3 adaptor?I was thinking of buying fujinon's ACM21 which is very costly as compare to mtf's.Many people are not satisfied ,infact disappointed with acm21.I wonder a cheap mtf's product can be useful. If someone has used it please give the feedback

I've not used MTF B4 to EX Mount but I have used Mike's Nikon to EX and his Nikon G to EX adaptors extensively. Both adaptors are well made to high tolerances and well worth the cost. I would highly recommend MTF adaptors.

The MTF adapter has no provision for a lens connector, so there is no way to power the zoom or control the iris other than manually. The ACM-21 adds the standard lens connector. There is also a new B4 adapter for the EX3 from Canon which also has a lens connector, but I have no details on that yet.

Thanx alister
Paul I purchased the adaptimax for nikon lense mount .Yet to see the results. |
I think the Fujinon converter also has an optical element that means there is no magnification issue to contend with.

The Fujinon adapter has a flat glass element that is to compensate for the different amounts of glass in a 1/2" prism compared to a 2/3" prism. It helps prevent additional CA and registration errors. It does not however compensate for the different sensor sizes, so you still need to factor in the 1.3x magnification factor when using a 2/3" lens on an EX3.

Thanks Alister for clarifying that point.
