clip browser version

new laptop...downloaded clip browser...version 2.6...looks like the old version.

Isn't 2.6 the later, newer look version?

2.6 is the latest. and 2.11.0 is the latest transfer.

And they work great on OS 10.6.2.

this is on a PC. I deleted it and went back to the sony site & re-loaded. For sure it says vers 2.6 but it is definitely the old version!

I have Snow Leopard and cant get the XDCAM Transfer to work at all.

I have to use my Laptop with Leopard on it to get my XDCAM files.
Where can I find the latest XDCAM transfer that works for Snow Leopard? I have looked everywhere and can't find a link to the download.

Cheers

Could this be some sort of Windows 7 issue? I'm running into other software hangups with win 7 64

Paul Gale March 17th, 2010 01:41 AM

Can you post a screen shot of what you're seeing and I can compare it to what I see on win 7 x64. My clip browser seems to work fine though.

Paul.

Ed Kukla March 17th, 2010 05:05 AM

Paul

Have you seen the old version of clip browser? That is exactly what it looks like. The new clip browser has a totally different look vs the old one that I see. Yet it says version 2.6!

Paul Gale March 17th, 2010 05:45 AM

Not sure I have seen the old one - well, I have seen a few versions now but can't remember a huge difference.

It's not Windows 7 reverting to basic display mode is it? Is the Aero interface still enabled?

Both side by side (the jpg file name explains which is which).

Paul Gale March 17th, 2010 09:12 AM

Ah yes - Ed, are you definately seeing the old version then?

I've recently installed yet another copy on Win 7 x64 - and it definately looks as it should.

You say that the old ver has never been installed on this laptop?

Have you uninstalled and installed fresh again?

Tuy Le March 17th, 2010 10:45 AM

You can check the ClipBrowser version:
click on Help(H) - About Version
It will open a small window with this info: V2.06.00.201 Last update: 2009/10/14

I have it run good on both systems: winXP SP3 & win7 x64

Ed Kukla March 17th, 2010 06:28 PM

new computer with win 7

I did install the old version accidentally. I did a complete delete before loading the correct version.

The current version says 2.6 but it is the old version.

Simon Denny March 18th, 2010 01:16 AM

Still no luck for me on Snow leopard. The program loads but I cant mount my Sony PDW F350.

What is strange is I installed an old version which was 2.5 or something around that and the camera mounted but the program would not load.

Any Ideas for those Mac users on Snow Leopard.

Cheers
