Vapour (vapor) EX1, PMW-350 and Canon T2i
Here is a little clip I put together with my EX1, PMW-350 and Canon T2i (550D). We had some very nice blue skies with puffy clouds, perfect for some interval record.

Nice stuff, as usual.
I invite you to come to the Rocky Mountains... especially in the fall when all the aspen leaves turn yellow. We'll do some shooting together. But you have to leave your 350 here :) |
Nice clips Charles.
I'd love to get to Aspen in fall. I also want to do Yellowstone in fall. Not long now till Tornado season and I'm pulling out all the stops this year to shoot something special. |
Alister,
Really nice clips, I love the stars and then the aurora at the end, just beautiful. How do you control exposure when shooting interval recording on the EX1? I've had a hard time with sunsets and sunrises due to changing light levels. Thanks...Jem |
For sunsets and sunrises I use auto iris, normally using a -1 stop offset. The challenge comes when you have to switch ND filters.
Otherwise it's a case of making a best bet guess as to how the scene's exposure is going to change and pray your right! I don't always get it right, if you err on the side of under exposing you can always tweek it up a bit in post. |
Thanks, that's what I needed to know, I figure the more I guess, the better I'll get at guessing. I've really enjoyed all your work, and I'm looking forward to the storm-chasing this summer.

Seeing all the great timelapse footage post here, made me want to review some stuff I shot last summer with the EX1 and EX3.
