Libec or Bebob zoom controller for ex1r?

Hello,
according to your experience, what is better?
Libec ZC-9EX or Bebob ZOE EX?
I will connect this controller to ex1r and i will work with Glidecam hd4000 stabilizer.
I need this controller to have a rec option, because when i use the stabilizer i have both hands on the stabilizer. I dont have the option to press the rec button on the camera

I like my Bebob, but you'll probably get positive feedback from others who own the Libec.

Libec ZC-9EX Zoom Controller

I haven't had any experience with the Bebob controller, but I bought the Libec after some research and I really love it. The build quality is excellent, the zoom rheostat is smooth and I've not had any problems with it. It also has a nice big record button. I use the Libec controller any time I have my EX3 on a tripod.

My Bebob which worked fine with my EX1 yielded herky-jerky zooms when used with my new EX1R. Acquired one of the Libecs that was on special here on the forum and it works fine with the EX1R.

the Libec works great with my EX1r.

It appears that the Libec has the most forgiveness for less than perfect lenses. If you get a good lens, any of the 3 controllers will work. If you get a marginal lens, the Libec can help.

Each time I do a shoot I am reminded of how much better it is than the remote I was running before. It is not only the absence of the "herky jerky" slow speed zooms but how it ramps up when you accelerate or decelerate the zoom. With just a little practice you can do some nice creative zooming. There are so many good things about it. Just read the dozen or so threads on it.

I would imagine it is cheaper than the Bebob as well.

Libec ...

I use this on tripod and my stablizer ... works beautifully!
