Sony PMW EX-3 Sync question

Hi There,

I need to solve a synchronization problem,
which is to sync a Sony PMW-EX3 with a signal sent by
a nvidia gtx 295 graphics card.

The graphics card has a DVI and HDMI output, so, I want to extract
sync information (genlock) from that.

I dont know if there is a device such as a DVI - tri level sync genlock.

So, call you tell if such device exists, and where can I find it ?
If there is another way to solve this issue, please let me know.

If you can get a analog composite video signal out of your computer, that can be plugged into the EX3 genlock in, to genlock the EX3 to that signal.

So you would need a DVI to NTSC or PAL converter. I think there are quite a few of varying quality out there. Someone here may have a recommendation.

Ok, this can be a dumb question.

Can I use a SDI signal as a sync signal ?

I mean, I could convert the DVI PC output to SDI, and then plug the
SDI cable to the EX3 Genlock in.

Do you think this is going to work ?

No, don't do that. It is a totally different signal.

I am trying to generate a HD signal, 720p, 60 frames per second. Can I use composite video signal as a sync signal for HD format ?
