Does anyone think this is stupid? Any thoughts or concerns?

How do you convert Anamorphic (unsqueeze) in Final Cut?

Where can I rent a ACV-235 and B4 to EX3 Converter?

Will there me a magnification in focal length since this will effectively convert the 1/2" to 2/3" ?

I really want to try this.

Nanoflash doesn't do uncompressed, and never will I think. FlashXDR has that coming I understand. Still, you can't see the difference in uncompressed vs 160Mbit anyway.

The ACV-235 with a B4 to EX might work. Stacking adapters can lead to vignetting and backfocus problems, but if they are designed properly, you should be able to adjust to compensate. I think the 1/2 to 2/3 crop factor is about 1.37. You will probably lose a few stops through the ACV-235 too.

Being a rear anamorphic it probably optically crops the top and bottom, then gives a vertical stretch. Your field of view vs focal length will probably stay roughly the same as 1/2, but when stretched in post it may give an apparent deeper depth of field.

I appreciate your thoughts David. I'd love to test this out if I can find a place to rent these adapters.
