Hoodman 32GB SDHC Cards

Got mine last week but was only able to do "routine" testing with it until today.... when I shot some 720p 24 @60fps overcranked footage on my EX3 (w/current update) and they performed as well as my SXS cards.

I admit I didn't fill the cards... that would have taken longer than I wanted to stand there; but I filled them half way with shots of the fast-moving river, with pans, and tilts, and pushes and pulls. No glitches, I'm happy to report. Then I shot some undercranking... no glitches there, either.

In my opinion, they were worth the wait.

How do you ingest? I'm waiting for the new Mac Pro's to arrive but for now am still downloading on my MB Pro. I have S&S, M&S, K&S and am thinking about picking up the 32 GB Hoodman set.

I understand the Sony S&S USB reader does not work with third party configurations. I would like to keep the download speed once I get my new Mac Pro. How do people ingest all these different cards on their Mac Pro's?

On the Mac OS side of both my iMac and my MacBookPro I have to use XDCam transfer to ingest clips. The Apple guy told me I could just drag them into the FCP timeline from the camera or from the adapter, but he apparently lied.

On the Windows side of both machines I can pick and drag clips right out of the BPAV folder to the timeline in Sony Vegas, or to a HD. I can do this with the USB hooked into the camera, or using the adapter Hoodman provides. I don't know what percentage of time it takes to ingest... it's pretty fast, and certainly a lot faster than real time.

I got two of these over a month ago. No glitches so far. Using overcranking, undercranking and just plain cranking. They're great and so far appear to be excellent value for the money.
Thank you Hoodman!
Cheers,
Bruce
