Shimmer on scaffolding EX3
My friend was filming some work taking place at a railway station and in the background were some big buildings, and on one of them was some new scafolding all the picture is perfectly exposed but the scafolding its shimmering and although only a small part of the picture it catches your eye, Is there anything he could have done to eliminate this
Thanks in advance Ian |
What frame rate are you using and is this "shimmer" (twitter) on your DVD output or do you see it on your computer monitor?
|
Thanks Vincent
I think he was shooting 25p and it was watching it from the camera ( component ) on a 42inch HDTV Ian |
Hiya, it's totally unlikely there's anything wrong with the camera.
You not stated the res of the monitor of whether the camera was outputting HD or not. More likely the monitor or it's connection is the problem. I use a 22inch 1080p LCD on location via HDSDI. It's always a great image even on near horizontals and fine detail. Duncan. |
The Tv is a top of the range panasonic HDTV and yes the cam was outputing through through the component socket
Thanks Ian |
That still doesn't confirm that the camera was set to output HD component or SD component.
Have you seen it with your own eyes, can you replicate it on another screen? Cheers, Duncan. |
yes it was HD output
|
Could be the sharpening circuit in the TV is set too high.
|
or the Detail has been set too high on the camera,
