Acquisition Data missing in XDCAM Browser?
 

Does anyone know the specifics of how the acquisition data is accessed/read by the family of XDCAM software?

Previously, I was shooting on an EX1r (SxS and SDHC via adapter) and using Clip Browser to copy/view the footage on my PC afterward. I don't remember exactly, but I want to say that the acquisition data (iris, shutter, gain, etc) was only available if the footage was shot on the SxS card, and not the SDHC. The point is that I was used to seeing it at least most of the time.

Now I'm shooting on a PMW-320 and using XDCAM Browser for the media management, and the first thing I noticed was that there is no acquisition data/tab available when viewing the clips. Since multiple things are different between my old and new work flow, I'm not sure what the problem is.

- Does XDCAM Browser just not show acquisition data anymore?
- Does the PMW-320 not record acquisition data at all?
- Is there something else I'm missing?

I know that the Sony site explains that XDCAM Browser "features MOST of the abilities of Clip Browser and XDCAM Transfer", so I'm just wondering if the acquisition data is one of the things that was left behind.

I was surprised to see that feature missing as well. I'm not sure if they will put it back or not. In some ways, it was kind of gimicky, but there was a LOT of info available on that screen.

Ditto here. We were also looking for that data and it apparently has been dropped from the latest XDCAM Browser app. We are using the older version now.
