PMW-EX1R XDCAM Or HXR-NX5U NXCAM ?
 

I'm looking to buy a high end Sony Camcorder and would like to hear your views on theses two models.

I will be shooting video for my local Church and most will not be live but in the future I might do it live.

Thanks for any information you can give me on these two models.

Hi.

This reply is kind of late but I guess you don't have any others.

I use an EX1R extensively at work. I love it. Things it does well - standard definition, slow motion, cache recording. Things it doesn't do well - low light conditions, it doesn't mount to my shoulder well, and it only has 2 audio inputs. The zoom control doesn't have a really-slow setting. It'll do live video just fine. I'd recommend it, but compare it to the EX3 and see if you need the extra features of the EX3 first.

I've never used the other camera.
