PMW-EX1, EX1r, and EX3 firmware upgrades at DVinfo.net

The latest firmware for these cameras is available, but not directly from the website. I finally decided to sit and redial many times to get through to the Sony support number ( 8008836817) listed on the site:

It seems that they will only give you access to the firmware ftp site if you have firmware later than a certain version, especially for the EX3. I now have the firmware and the latest revision is actually 1.17 for the EX3.

Major functions updated with V1.17
Timecode
Ensure timecode continuity when the HDCA-702 is connected
to this unit and the timecode run mode is set to Rec Run in 720P
mode.
Media
Enable this unit to format an SxS memory card having all data
deleted by “Disk Utility” function of Macintosh.

I can confirm that the update worked correctly for my EX3. I cannot confirm the new/better functionality.
