Cine Alta

Does the PMW 200 have the Cine Alta label as the EX1r did?

Re: Cine Alta

It isn't on Sonys CineAlta webpage.

Sony | Cameras - Broadcast & Production | CineAlta

Re: Cine Alta

All Cinealta used to mean was the ability to shoot and record at 23.98 fps, nothing more than that. As the PMW-200 can shoot at that rate that would class it as a CineAlta camera. But things have moved on and now Sony tend only to badge cameras with s35 sensors that can shoot 23.98 or 24p as CineAlta.

Didn't it also include some of the picture profile settings as well?

Both the FS100 and FS700 have s35 sensors and can shoot 24p but neither is badged as
a CineAlta (not to mention the Vg20 or 30 as they are technically APSC sensors that can shoot 24p.)
I think the CineAlta designation is reserved for their higher end cams.

No. None of Sony's Cine Alta cameras (now or in the past) come with any built-in picture profile settings.
What Alister said pretty much sums it up. Sony now reserves the Cine Alta badge for higher-end cameras, but since the EX1R had that label, the PMW-200 is just as deserving of it too, even if it doesn't actually have it.
