Pmw-400 flash banding reducer

Does anyone know if there are videos showing how well the flash banding reducer works on this camera? And has anyone got there hands on this camera to see how its image looks?

After seeing this now I really can decide between this and the pmw-300

Thanks

Re: Pmw-400 flash banding reducer

I used a PMW400 for a charity event at Pearson Convention Centre last Sunday. I was amazed with the low light capability of the camera. I could get images at 0 DB in the dark corners. It was a pleasure to use as the lighting company was using low powered LED lights and I know that there was not enough light for my EX-3. I was in the back of the room doing IMAG.
I was not aware of the special circuit for the flash banding. I looked at the footage and noticed that there was a white flash band when the subject was in the dark with no lights. When the subject was lit, the usual white flash is gone and a subtle change in density shows up. You can see the flash band for 2/3 of the photo from the top. It's most apparent on the left side where you can see the difference in brightness on the screen.
The circuit does a good job but I was blown away by the low light sensitivity. Joe Sutherland Rentals has several of the cameras here in Toronto. I think that this is one of the best cameras around for ENG and corporate work. It will allow you to film under extreme low light conditions and is the best choice for those situations.

The flash band compensation works since the last firmware upgrade, it comes out in the middle of octobre 2013.
