Sony EX1 bad LCD at DVinfo.net

PMW-EX1 LCD viewfinder stopped working. It is not the back-light buttons. We got a new LCD screen and put on it and that was not the problem. First it started looking like it was out of sync and then it just died. Did not know where to go after that. Did not want to break the whole thing down so i thought maybe someone might have some info on this problem. I have a report to Sony and am waiting for reply.
I thought it may be the LCD hinge switches that tells it to cut off the eye piece but that part works. Not sure about the switch that inverts the pic cause the LCD will not power up. Any info on this would be helpful.
