Ingesting the SxS cards... alternatives

I dislike using the ClipBrowser to ingest the SxS cards. I find it clunky to use.

I started using a program called ViceVersa that I use for all my other video file moving and have had no issues so far. In fact, I recently had a case where there was a bad .bim file on on of my clips and ClipBrowser aborted the transfer when it got to that file. That left some 60 clips still on the card.

Using VV I was able to do the transfer all the way. It found the bad file and skipped over it. Maybe CB can be set to do that (??) but it still was a scary moment.

Anyone else using something other than CB to do the file transfers?

Sometimes I use Shot Put Pro when I am on the road and need to feed multiple copies of the files to multiple drives simultaneously. That's one thing Sony's Content Browser utility cannot do. But normally I like CB and find it very comfortable and reliable to use. In fact, I'm ingesting a couple of 128GB cards while I type this. Being able to see the thumbnails and spot-check a few files before ingest gives me peace of mind.

You say you are still using Clip Browser? That's two years out of date now. Switch to Content Browser and you'll have a better experience.

Totally agree.. I used to use shotput pro ,which is totally fine, and good for multiple drives.. but I needed a whole other software to see files .. having the thumbnail and preview window right there next to each other for quick checking is very good for "peace of mind" … at the end of the day..!CB V1 is still free and totally fine if your only using XDCAM..
