All this tells us is that the operator couldn't setup the cameras to give matching colour temps and exposure.

Or that they were interested in showing how things were by default. Or didn't want to open that can of worms. Lot of DPs, who use many different cameras, want to know what it will look like "by itself".

The Red has so many things you can/have to tweak to get a transcoded file, sometimes it's hard to get the same result twice!

The Alexa, in particular, has brain dead menus so assuming that about the Alexa would be....not kind. Schumacher has a long history of being a sharp rental house with smart people.

I do wonder though what Cinegamma the F3 was in, because it's important to know. (or more disappointingly, hopefully they did not do a latitude test in Rec709).

Scarily enough, my own (very unscientific) tests with the Alexa have it gaining another two or so stops of latitude in LogC mode, so the Alexa has a handicap here (same could be said about the F3 minus S-Log).
