Any software from Sony?

Got the FS5 today, but wondering how to get the footage off the cam.

With the EX1R and the AX100 Sony delivered Playmemories Home with it to import the footage.

I know I can copy the contence of the card to my pc, but still..

Somebody knows this?

I think there is a free version of Vegas.

If you use FCPX or Premier even Avid will just import from the SDXC card.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Re: Any software from Sony?

is there not a copy of Content Browser or Catalyst Prepare or something on the CD that came with the camera?
I got Sony Movie Studio 13 Platinum with my AX 100.

No, unfortunately not, just the manual...

Just tried Catalyst and Content Browser.... well.. better off copying and pasting the whole card then.

Strange clunky software...

Re: Any software from Sony?

yeah very strange software indeed.

I have Content Browser for my PMW 200. the only advantage it offers really for me is the ability to trim clips on the card before importing to the computer, so you dont have lots of footage imported that you're not going to use.

Catalyst Browse provides you with some transcoding options as well.
