Sound Devices PIX 220 and 240 will merge video and audio from dslr?

One great thing about the PIX is that it takes over from having to use plural eyes to sync audio and video. you send it hdmi video feed and then directly send it the xlr audio. So it is synched, right? Could be a nice selling point if you use a camera like the GH2 that outputs a pure image.
