Sound Devices' FileSafe technology automatically detects and recovers files that have not been closed ('finalized') properly. FileSafe is available both as a Mac/Windows utility and as an app embedded within the firmware (v2.02 and higher) of the PIX 250i, PIX 260i, PIX 270i and 970 rackmount recorders.
