Glidecam 4000 is "bumpy" -- HELP

I have a Glidecam 4000 that I bought 3 years ago and have literally never used it. I got it out today to sell it and discovered that the swivel movement around the central pole is a bit "bumpy" at times (especially when turning it slowly). It ain't smooth. I know it was fine when I bought it (I tested it out thoroughly). Any ideas?

Bill,

Try spinning it for a while to redistribute the oil. If it seems to have too much friction then try a little 3-in-one oil on the pan bearing. Sometimes over time the oil may get a little "lumpy" so put a little oil on it and then spin the sled for a while to cover all the bearing surfaces.

Let me know if that does the trick.
