Tips for slow shots with small Steadicam Rigs?

Anyone got any tips they can give me for achieving very slow tracks around/past a person using a small rig with a pilot with a lack of inertia?

... apart from using a dolly of course, im guessing its just a lot of practice.. taking small steps is very hard to keep consistent.

Been shooting some news links in a studio and they want a wide range of movements.. 50% of the time they want static MCUs.. and we're using a steadicam why?! but all good.

Hi Joe, for circling shots you need to hold the rig in front and perpendicular to yourself, precise footwork is important as is a dynamically balanced rig.
