XL1 16x Lens stabilization on a stabilization unit

Hi folks

Should I turn the XL1 16X lens stabilization on or off when flying on a rig? (I'm waiting for my Glidecam V16 to arrive).

I think it should be turned off as any stabilization will be done by the rig. Also, I don't expect to do any tight zooms on the rig.

If turned on, I think it would fight the stabilization provided by the rig.

You should turn the stabilizer off. The Glidecam takes care of that.

If you leave it turned on the stabilizer will add some undesirable effects in an attempt to "fix" the motion it senses.

Dean's right Norman. Basically, treat inertial stabilizer shooting as you would a tripod shot. Turn OIS off.
