Love to hear your thoughts on flying the 1Dm4!

Was that the Flyer?

Trevor Meeks October 21st, 2009 01:32 AM

Looks like a flyer to my untrained eye. Chaz is DA MAN!

That is aWESOME work Charles! Makes me wanna try the 7D on the Pilot.

Looking at the attitude of the battery, and the screen I think its a pilot :)

Looks good tho :)

He also did a comprehensive review of the pilot, complete with Demo film of him at work with it.

Check it out : http://www.dvinfo.net/article/produc...-part-one.html

Definately not a Pilot. The sled pole is too big.

I think this may be his running rig, which uses his PRO vest, a Flyer arm, and a sled custom made from various parts. You can see it here:

Correct, Dave! It was Charles's "Nimblecam" rig - his Flyer arm and vest with a custom sled. He discusses it here: Canon 1D MK IV - The Steadicam Forum

Sounds like a pretty cool setup, though apparently mounting it all up was a hassle. A very interesting read!

I stand corrected, thanks Dave :)

Nice setup
