Re: drool-worthy new rig

Looks like this: Bowens Limelite OmniRig Prototype Launch

How much do these things cost to the average customer!?

I read somewhere if you have to ask what the price is, you definitely can't afford it!

Im guessing it will probably be around the £8000 GBP or $15000 USD mark.

I think it's a worthy investment for a succesful business.

Or even a indie shooter I suppose ... just need a lot of work to be able to afford one. But it can increase production value ten fold!

EDIT: the omnirig (in the link) is apparently going to be available for sub $2k according to a reply I read by phillip bloom!

Re: drool-worthy new rig

The one I posted actually IS $15K. A smaller one will follow at half that price. For me, the improvement in production values would never offset the cost. I'd do better to spend the money on part-time help for projects.

If the OmniRig is really $2K, I could see investing in that. Although it certainly is the OPPOSITE of ergonomic. I"ll train a gorilla to operate it.
