Modify the Glidecam V8 Sled

HI,
U think it's ok if i can drill a hole ( 1.5cm diameter) on the sled which has 2.5cm diamte. The hole will be upside of the gimbal. Purpose of the hole is in order to hire the video cable inside the sled.
PLease give me some advice. I"m arfraid that after drilling the sled gonna be weak.

Trung,

Where is the hole to be drilled? Don't understand your location.

i drilled lots of holes in my glidecam, especially at top (to open the tube that was closed by a plate) and on the side (top and bottom ) to get cables in and out. The smaller the hole, the better. Solder the plug after you insert the cable, so you do not need to pass the plug inside the hole.
If your camera is a light one, there will be no problems.
i used a big VX9000 and all was ok
