anyone seen or got the Merlin travelbag

I understand it is designed to carry the Merlin fully opened with camera on it over your shoulder.

Is it any good?

p.s. hope so as just bought one from B and H photo video!

Close Phil,
You have to fold the Merlin to drop it in the bag - though as you mentioned, it fits nicly with a (most) camera(s) attached. It designed to fit the FX1, so anythign smaller will go fine. One quick unfolding move and you are ready to fly right out of the bag.

It's a very handy bag for carrying the righ and other stuff (tapes, batteries, etc..). Basicaly think of it as a fully featured camera bag, that has a built in space for the Merlin at the bottom.

I wonder if the new Canon A1 would fit it.

Thanks Mikko,

It still sounds very useful.

it's very nice. I can keep my A1e mounted on it (merlin folded over) ready to go whilst using my Z1 as the main camera. It is going to save loads of time!
