rebel xt

new rebel gossip looks like it might come to light, like anybody that follows this stuff didn't see it coming...

8mp sensor digic 2 chip, some current disabled features now enabled

rebel xt in the US ...eos 350 elsewhere

best part is the price $999

where does that leave the 20d, well just about the same spot the rebel left the 10d when it arrived on the scene...

here is a upc entry: http://www.upcdatabase.com/item.pl?upc=013803049626

Nice to see an all-black body! I was never a big fan of the silver.

I played with one at PMA.......It's TINY! Feels more solid than the last rebel, but is extremely small.

Here is some good info on that cam:

Plus a detailed review:

If you haven't seen it, www.dpreview.com is a great source for anything about digital cams... they have incredibly detailed (sometimes 20+ page) reviews with everything you can ask for.

Where is the best place to find a regular digital rebel? I checked resellerratings and found three nice places for cheap but I was wondering if there are any other places that I may have missed. Thanks everyone!

The *only* sources we will endorse are our sponsors.

See http://www.dvinfo.net/sponsors/index.php

B&H, EVS & Zotz can get the Rebel for you. Hope this helps,

The new rebel is WAY too small, I handled it the other day and I could barely hold it with three fingers on my right hand. My fingers on my right hand had no where to go except into the lens. Too small.
The grip isn't rubberized either, it has a weird sand paper like finish on it. Not good.
Great features, but I don't understand why they keep making these cameras smaller.
The 20D is even smaller than I like (My old 10D was the perfect size).

Jeff, are you saying the new Rebel is smaller than the 20d?

Yes... the 10d is a good fit in my hands.....

It is tiny. It might be alright with a grip, but let's just hope the grip for the XT doesn't have all the problems the 20D grip has.
I am on my second 20D grip and I just sent that back to Canon on Tuesday for ANOTHER fix.
