G6 vs dsc-v3

Hey guys. I'm trying to decide between these two cameras. I have had digital cameras before but never one of this level. I'm planning on taking lots of pictures of sports etc. Other than that I will just shoot standard subjects. All the research I have done seems to lean towards a toss up between these two cameras. Is there anything that seperates these cameras apart from each other more? They seem to be about the same as far as I can tell but I am still pretty new at all this. Are there any other cameras I should be looking at in this range? Thanks for the help in advance.

Jake,
Phil Askey's Digital Photography Review site is the best resource for such research. Make a big pot of coffee, block-out an evening (or two) and dig in.

Thanks for the link I'll get looking at it right now. I have mainly been looking at and steves-digicams. Hopefully this one will be good too. It just seems to close to call for me. Hoping someone more experienced could tip the table one direction or another etc
