Re: PTZ camera for Live Stream

Thanks Phil

I found it at B&H here : https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ...rence_ptz.html

Seems a lot like the Logitech unit but with the current exchange rate a little pricier!! It would end up at $1040 here without shipping and GST (since it's over $1000) and the market in Perth isn't exactly flourishing at the moment as you know. The only market that hasn't been affected too much by the downturn seems to be the wedding industry ...businesses are seriously cutting back on a lot of overheads and un-necessary costs so I'm currently sitting on the fence and using what I already have! I still have two Panny Lumix cameras, an AC-8 camera and also a Logitech Connect conference cam which works very well for small groups!

Chris
Have you done any weddings in the last 12 months out towards West Swan, Brigadoon area. Just wondering what the 4g is like out there. 12 months or so ago it was only 3g but I see Telstra are saying they have 4g out that way now. I will be doing a job out that way next year that will need to be streamed. I need to get a handle on this streaming and the equipment used.

Re: PTZ camera for Live Stream

Hi Phil

Haven't done Brigadoon but the new map shows it as 4GX ... I have done around that area on the Great Northern Highway and have had pretty fair uploads of around 22mbps but just beware there IS a dead spot just to the North East of Brigadoon that is only 3G at best!! ... I have a wedding in October at Two Rocks and no signal there so I will be recording and then doing a delayed broadcast of the ceremony later.

The only truly dead area still is Araluen Park ...zero signal there except for maybe a 5mbps signal on a decent mast right up at the top car park !!

Where exactly will you be streaming from in Brigadoon?? Belvoir, Brookleigh and Upper Reach Winery are all covered by 4GX now

This place is up near the fire station on cathedral road. According to Telstras map it's covered but you never know. I'll go out there soon and check with my phone and see what i get. You never know they might have 5g available by then. I still got 12 months but I need to get organised with this streaming.

If I'm up around Bell's Rapids area I'll take my Nighthawk router and see what sort of signal I get Phil ...I have an idea that area has 4GX coverage but it drops off drastically as you get near the state forest!!
