scheduling around the sun

I think for a lot of people, we have to schedule around a "day" job. This means that our films need to be made on nights and weekends. I recently wrote a script that takes place as the sun is going down (yeah I know, talk about schedule tightness). So, to get everything set up correctly, I was looking around the net for the sunset times for the day/s of my shoot. I found a great site that let me make a calendar with all the needed info - including some information i hadn't originally thought about but is very useful for scheduleing.

this site will create a calendar (free) with the sunrise, sunset, moonrise, moonset, and both twilight ending times, even the moon phase. All of this is extremely useful as you can guestimate how much natural light you'll have and for how long.

Hope others can find it useful too.

That rocks, Lisa. I've often wondered where to find such info myself. This will be great for some time lapse stuff I'm planning to do. Thanks.

That script wouldn't be for you DV Challenge entry, would it?

Just trying to get ahead of the competition... ;)

Yep, this did all come about for my DVC script. What's depressing is how late the sun sets around here. Gotta love a call time of 7pm. haha.
