How do I approach this? - Negotiating a Broadcast Contract

I need some help quickly. My studio has produced 2 commercials, 1 1-hour special, and a short film for television to date. These were one-time events, so I had no problem with pricing them out. But I was just offered a chance to partner with a local events coordinator with strong ties to local TV to do a monthly broadcast. I have no idea how to negotiate this. Does the broadcaster pay us directly? Do we get commercial sponsors to make this happen? Some combination of the two? I would only be responsible for the production end, but I would like to be able to talk a little bit as if I knew what I was doing. What kind of $$ can I ask for/expect for such a thing?

This may be kind of confidential info, but if we can have a general conversation here about how these deals happen, and if someone would be so kind as to e-mail me offline about actual sums of money that are realistic for a 1/2 hour monthly local (state-wide) broadcast, I'd be so very grateful. I'm meeting next week with my sponsor to talk about it, and I would like to know what to realistically expect. I'm sure this comes down to, "you get what you negotiate," but I'm far afield enough from what I usually do (corporate, documentary, event, primarily), that I don't know what is realistic to expect for this type of thing.
