Springfield, MO Film Festival
 

Been working with a group of film makers here in the local area.

The third Cinemerge Film Festival will be Oct. 7th through the 9th. If you want to submit something great or just want to drop by we'd love to have you.

So far my friend Sean Murray (Buffy and the Vampire Slayer) will talk about film scoring.

He'll bring his dad Don Murray along also. He was nominated for an a Oscar for best supporting actor for his first film Bus Stop, starring Marilyn Monroe. Plus he's directed three features.

Another friend DP Bart Durkin who teaches cinematography courses with Kodak will try and squeeze it in his schedule to give a seminar and have a Kodak promotion called "Stop by Shoot Film."

Actor William Forsythe is showing up.

Plus others as we get them lined up.

Cinemerge update.

Working with actor Ernie Lively to bring his new film "Simon Says" which he produced for one of its first showings.

The film stars his daughter Blake, she's the blond star of the Warner Bros film "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants."

I haven't seen Blake since she was 16.

The film is written and directed by William Dear; Angels In The Outfield, Harry and the Henderson's, etc.

We're still looking for submissions.

From a film festival started here in Springfield, MO.

We've formed a group called the CINEmerge Entertainment Group.

Its to help with the festival and independent film or video producers.

We're going to have some industry people come and lecture in the near future.

We do have two events for July and August.

Then in September where going to have a director from Hollywood giving a workshop on directing.

Just have to work out a few details before we say who the director is.
