Electronic "paperwork" OK?

I'm thinking about keeping all my business records in electronic format - MS Office documents as such, and scaning all paper docs to PDF, then shreding them.

Will the IRS be happy with that?

Thanks,

Are electronic (digitally scanned) documents considered legal according to the IRS? Fujitsu ScanSnap ? Welcome to your productive, mobile, paperless, efficient life
