Office/Studio Co-op in Atlanta

I'm looking at starting an office and studio co-op to provide first-class client meeting, studio, and production facilities in the Atlanta area. There would be two levels of participation. Full members would own shares of the co-op and have voting control, and dedicated office space. Associates would have access to the shared facilities. All access to shared facilities would be via online scheduling and would be fee based.

I'd like to hear from any in the Atlanta metro area who might be interested in participating at either level, as well as general comments on the idea, what would be desirable in such a facility, etc. If there is sufficient interest I'll set up a meeting to discuss. Thanks.

Jim

What sort of Facility are you talking about here Jim?

I'm open to suggestions but my thought was to have a facility with private offices, meeting rooms, conference/viewing room, studio with soundproof walls, and editing facilities. There would be two classes of memberships, with those investing in the facility having a permanent office. Those needing occasional meeting space for client meetings, access to editing facilities, company name in the lobby directory and a mailing address, and studio would pay a monthly membership fee. Bookings via the Web. Sort of like the virtual office concept but geared toward video production business.

Jim,

What rates are we looking at?

We run a small production company and have all the equipment we need but have been tossing around the idea of getting a small amount of space for editing, client meetings, etc. Would be interested to hear more of what you have in mind.

This is in the concept stage to see if there is sufficient interest to develop a business plan around the idea. Rates would be determined by the founding members who would put up the capital to get the project started. Your ongoing costs will be less than if you rent space and furnish it, possibly much less.

Jim,
I have a group of people looking to do the exact thing that you're talking about (complete with space) drop me a line and I'll put you in touch with them.

Nick
