Stupid question about Magic Bullet

I'm using Vegas and I'm played a little with MB. Frankly, I'm not impressed and I think I can achieve the same stuff with the color wheels. Anyway, before I can see the effect on a media to I have to RENDER AS.....
Until I render as, it's not really there, correct?
Using VEGAS 7 e

No need to render, what you see in the preview is what it will look like. Although playback is generally slow.

IF you can get the look using the standard plugins then do it. Vegas is a yellow plugin (see your plugin icon goes yellow). This means rendering only uses a single core. IF you can use Sonys plugins they are green plugins which are multithreaded and use 100% of the CPU.

There are some effects vegas can do I havnt been able to re-create.

Im actually going to stick to Vegas Effects, really, I think MB is just a distraction.

MB editors is, but MB looks is very VERY powerful and faster. Love it so far.

agreed that magic bullet looks is very powerful but I have serious reservations about doing broadcast grading to a still image as opposed to a video timeline. I personally prefer to stick to colour wheels and use magic bullet for special occasions, especially now as most editors are sticking with factory presets and you can spot a 'bulleted' video a mile off. Just a personal opinion though.

It depends on what you're editing, who it's for and what works for you. MB is great, colour wheels are also great, just two different hammers for the same job.
