Prop Firearms

I have no idea where it goes, so the moderator is more than welcome to insert this thread somewhere else.

I need to get prop firearms for a short. I do not need the real thing, just stuff that looks real. The does not involve a gunfight scene nor displaying the props in public since it will take place on a closed set. I have no desire to get shot up by the cops.

Besides Centre Firearms, does anyone know of any place in NYC where I can reproductions of firearms?

Airsoft guns usually look very realistic. They all have (by law) orange tips, but those can be taken off, spray painted, or gaff taped over.

I'd have to agree, airsoft is your best bet. If you are talking about pistols or handguns, you can find them real cheap on ebay too.

Hi Tim. You might also check out Weapons of Choice: index. They are in California but will ship rental items to you.

I am moving this thread to our Independent Production forum...
