Vignetting on Premiere
 

Ok, So I run Premiere Pro for my editing. and I really LOVE the look of FIlm, but the one thing I can't get right is that slight bit of vignetting on the edges. It is so faint, and well, just perfect. I know you can get this effect from a 35mm adapter, but I can't afford one at the moment (On the list of things to get)

Any one know the best route to go about doing this effect?

It's dead simple. Take any frame of footage into Photoshop. Make a new layer over the footage and darken the frame corners to your liking.

I'm not sure of the easiest way to do this but you can color the layer black and add a mask. Create an elliptical mask and erase the contents, then feather the mask to taste. Remove the footage frame layer and save as a .psd file.

Use that psd as an overlay on the video track above your footage. Since I'm as dense as a pine knot, others probably know of a simpler better way, but that was what I did before I got Magic Bullet.

That sound so simple, I can't believe I didn't think about it!
