ever use lens adapters from this company?

Hi there. Have any of you ever used products from virtualcybervision.com?

In particular, i'm wondering about the EOS adapter and the peleng fisheye lens adapter.

Anyone have any experiences with any products made by this company?

Any thoughts about these lens adapters?

Thanks!

Seens cool but you lose DOF with only adapting the lens to the XL1, its not the same than if you use Mini35, or my homemade lens adapter.

Search our site for XL1 Solutions. There are several current threads debating the merits of the adapter and it's manufactures claims. Don Berube is in the process of evaluating one of the adapters.

I used the Peleng fisheye on the DVX100 with the mini35, and the results were outlandishly cool.

Without something like the mini35, your results will be nowhere near as good. The stock lens on the XL1 is already wider than 8mm (I think it's 6mm or so) so adding the Peleng won't give you anything you don't already have. You need to use the mini35 (or similar) in order to get the equivalent 35mm field of view. Once you do that, then the 8mm has an outrageously wonderful fisheye effect.

Check out this picture, shot with the DVX/mini35/Peleng 8mm lens:
