Canon MV-630i progressive shoot

I fooled around with my Pinnacle Studio and Canon 630i. I accidentally noticed, that when cam is connected via firewire to computer, Studio is in capture mode and cam is on "Card" mode (normally it is "tape"). When you record live(into HD), the video is in progressive mode. I didn't get any sound to track and I can't record it onto tape. Does anyone know how to enable progressive mode with sound to recording into tape?

Hello Toni and welcome aboard DVInfo.net. I think this method has
been discussed before here (somewhere). To the best of my
knowledge you can't record this to tape. Since the camera is in
card mode it is not recording any audio either. You would need
to use a seperate recording device and microphone to record
the audio.
