Taking care of production paperwork

Just shot a short film which generated a bunch of files. Not sure if I want this huge binder sitting around, so looking for some suggestions on a filing system. For you producer-directors out there, what do you keep and what do you toss after a project is done? How do you handle and maintain the physical paperwork of a project? What have you found were the things you most often went back to and referenced later on?

Thanks!

no hard and fast rules.

If your project is a commercial one, and is intended to or does earn money, then you'll need to keep every contract. Anything that is not a signed document can go. That should bring you down to a manageable size.

The rest is really up to you. Who else would care?
