transfer 16mm & 8mm film to digital-recommendations?

transfer 16mm & 8mm film to digital-recommendations?

i have a project that contains 1.5 hrs of 16mm film and 4 hrs of 8mm film.

none of this material has sound.

anyone with a recommendation about where/how to have it transferred?

(i'm not sure costco is still in the film transfer business)

if possible, i'm really seeking personal experience recommendations.

thanks in advance.

be well.

Re: transfer 16mm & 8mm film to digital-recommendations?

Late last year I was looking for someone to transfer some 1954 8mm film for me. The company I'd used 10 years ago was not getting good reviews. I found many companies doing transfers. Some more "high tech" than others. This time around I used Got Memories in Phoenix.

They did a good job for me and I would recommend you contact them. You'll easily find them with Google.

Tell them you want the transfer for editing. They returned my file on a flash drive I supplied.
