Random thought. Why 30fps looks wierd.

I just noticed that 30fps looks strange to me because it looks like the footage is going to fast. Like a slight fast forward. As if 24fps (the standard) is being sped up. Of course we know thats not whats happening, but thats what it looks like.
Maybe adding a little slow motion will get rid of that look but retain the information that 2-3 pulldown 24p will lose.

Maybe 30p looks strange because its not a very common format? We see 60i and 24p nearly every day on TV. 30p is somewhat of an oddity. I wouldn't recommend messing around with slowing it down or speeding it up, unless you are doing so as an effect, because you'll lose sync with your sound.
