Question about the Stabilizer used in the Movie "RIZE"
 

I wonder if anyone has any info about the homemade stabilizer used in "rize" there is a few shots of it in the extras on the dvd. It looks like a backback, with a bent arm attached that goes over the camera ops head, on the end of the arm is a rope or bungee cord that the camera is attached to. The camera hangs in front of the op. The footage looks great in the film. Just wondering if anyone has ever used a stabilizer like this, or knows anything more about it?

I've used a heavy duty version of this technology and while it is a good system for transferring weight off the shoulder, I didn't like the results in the footage very much. The center of gravity of the system is too high and the slightest pitch of the body can cause the lens to tilt up and down in an annoying fashion. But a lot of people like the devices.
