Shooting a Music Video
 

Hi everyone,
We are shooting a music video in another 1-2 week/s. It's a DJ mix and video will be on the roads; more or less like a Bike chasing a car. The concept is very simple, but we are looking forward to work more on the visuals, edit and the presentation. The budget is very low but we have access to vacuum base, 2 DVX 100 A Cams and an Edit system. This is our first music video project and I request you to share your thoughts and ideas on how to go about it.

umm you should try asking more specific questions if you need some advice for your shoot.

the only thing i could tell you to keep in mind is that music videos usually (depending on the pace of the song) require very fast editing movements, so you therefore need to film as many different angles of the same actions as possible.

this will ultimately give you the control you need in the editing room after everything is filmed.

I am going to Africa to shoot 2 hopefully, one is going to be like Mary J.
Blige's "Be without you" and the other ,,,,, o well.
All I know is, do practise shots, edit them and see if it gels with the song weeks before the actual shoot, it will let you know what mistakes you might face.

I think I might need to do that as well ..

Oh, also go the the dvxuser.com dvx clips and the hvx clips, they always have at least 5 brand new music videos every week, I am sure you might run into one that looks similar to your style cuz every thing on that site is awesome, ........... just like DVINFO!.
