Finally.....back to work on our film !

I just wanted to say that after a dismal winter with not much snow at all.........we are going out to our 1st location for 2003 to make a crack at the second half of our our film "Dreamcast".

4.5 day shoot in Yakutat Alaska with a 4 man crew. Flying out tomorrow.

Damn I need to get out after a long winter.
Right now I'm having a hard time working today thinking about it. <:~)

My partner went down 2 weeks ago to scout the location(s), and brought back a great report.....so, we should have a great time and get some quality footage to add to the 1st ~50% that is edited and in the can.

OK, enough already....just had to spew with excitement !

Good luck with your shoots Dan and all the best!

Good luck! How ironic: you have to wait for it to snow, while Dylan has no choice but to shoot in Vancouver on the only day it snowed here! ;)

Say, this movie doesn't star the ill-fated Sega game system, does it? :P

Heh, funny how that works!

Good luck, Dan! Let us see something when you're ready.

Here are some pic's to hold you over

I will say that we had a great time, and the fishing and the weather could have not been better. We shot some awsome footage!

We were hooking 40+ fish a day. I now believe that the Yakutat lives up to it's legend of being the best steelhead river in the USA.

All the pic's are large, so 56k users beware.
They should resize to your desktop settings after they download.

For those of you that have never met me, I'm in pic's 180,182,183,184.

All these pic's are from my Sony (cough) cyber-shot 2.0 megapixel camera.

I've yet to pull any of the tape down as of this very second, but should have a chance in the next week or so. Back to work tomorrow....ugg <;~)

Come on! Admit it...you guys bought those at the supermarket and just posed with them in a river.

Holy cow, Dan! I've never caught anything that big...must be a hoot. I grew up in the Texas Panhandle catching tiny perch, small bass, and frying pan-sized catfish. These steelhead look like what REAL fishing is all about.

Looking forward to the footage.

Jeebus that's some decent sized fish.

I am perhaps the worst fisherman ever. I took up fishing for one summer and never caught a single fish. Might have been due to my crippled attention span thanks to years of violent video games. After about 20 minutes of waiting I'd put as much weight on the end of my line as it would hold and see how far I could cast, what I could hit, and how big a splash I could make.
Unless there was beer involved, but then I'd just sit and drink and forget to watch my line, get it snagged, fall in the river while trying to pee... you get the picture.
